Daryl Ong sang Gary Valenciano’s “Take Me Out of the Dark” during the semi-finals of “The Voice of the Philippines” Season 2 on Saturday, February 21 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World Manila in Pasay City.
Who will represent Team Apl.de.ap in the grand finals of “The Voice of the Philippines”? Daryl is vying for the highly-coveted slot against teammate Alisah Banaobra.
In my opinion, Daryl delivered the best performance of the night. His runs were just right without overdoing any part of the song. And most importantly, he made the Gary V classic his own. Thanks to the superb musical arrangement. He should have receive a standing ovation from the four judges, by the way.
