Last January 29, Kapuso stars Mayton Eugenio, Coleen Perez and Benjamin Alves battled in the kitchen in the recently held Kapuso Cook-Off sponsored by the GMA Social Media Team at the Poetry and Prose Patisserie located at the Ground Floor of Shangri-la Plaza Mall.
The event was hosted by the ever perky and gorgeous Stephanie Sol.
This mini-competition was between three teams composed of these celebrities stars and the industry’s top entertainment, lifestyle, and food bloggers.
These three teams were asked to create two types of crepes – one savory and one sweet. All teams were given 30 minutes to finish each type of crepes.
Before the actual cook-off, Chef Angelo Santos; one of the restaurants chefs demonstrated the process before these celebrities while Poetry and Prose’s Assistant General Manager Maite Paje and Chef Him Uy de Baron – THE chef of the Magnum Restos in the metro, were asked to judge the event.
All teams gave it their best, however it was Mayton’s team who won the competition. Despite having a technical problem during the event, however this was a blessing in disguise as she was asked to do her cooking inside the restaurant’s kitchen where the said star was in her element.
