Innamorata’s Max Collins is not really dismissing the possibilities that she could be groomed by GMA 7 to be the next Marian Rivera but she also declines to magnify it.
Innamorata is her second lead role after her huge break by starring opposite Dingdong Dantes and with Lorna Tolentino in “Pahiram ng Sandali” (November 2012- March 2013). Aside from Jennylyn Mercado, Heart Evangelista and Rhian Ramos, with the pretty face and with the promise to improve her craft, Max is a worthy candidate to be the Kapuso’s next bankable leading lady.
The 21-year old actress admitted though that she still has a lot of things to prove to herself and to the industry. Her inclusion in the lead cast of “Pahiram Ng Sandali” was considered by online critics as premature. Some say Max was not ready for the role which requires gigantic dramatic scenes with multi-awarded actors Dingdong Dantes and Lorna Tolentino. Is she ready to prove them wrong for Innamorata? “I cannot assure them but I can only do my best,” she said.
In Innamorata, Max takes on what she calls a semi-dual role as Esperanza and Evangeline. She is the bearer of this magic necklace which transforms her into a beautiful woman once worn. She is joined by her leading men Luis Alandy and Dion Ignacio in the lead cast with Gwen Zamora and Jackie Rice. The soap is being aired from Monday to Friday at the second afternoon slot after Villa Quintana.
A leading lady needs her ‘Knight in Shining Armor’ of course and for Max, she’d like to be paired with Alden Richards. “I also like Tom Rodriguez and Dennis Trillo because they are very effective actors but gusto ko sana same age sakin.”
On a real-life romance with fellow Kapuso Pancho Magno, Max was straightforward in saying that he has a good chance. “Same church kami (Victory) and same din kami ng level ng optimism. He is a great guy overall,” she described.
